Just saw a fleet of three Ranger dual cab mules accompanied by a couple of the current Oz spec Ford Ranger dual cabs. All set to hit the dirt of western NSW given the direction they were heading.

Immediately noticeable difference over the current Ranger...much wider track. Only had a few seconds to check them out as they were headed in the opposite direction. But the extra track and body width was obvious. They also might have been a tad longer.

Seriously these things are now as big as a late 80/early 90’s F150.

My dad might very well lease or buy one of these when they come out. Depending on pricing mostly. He currently leases an F150 and would like a smaller truck and gets A Plan. He probably won’t do it if it’s a small difference in lease price though.

Yeah small job trucks are gone. Except for maybe the Honda actually. I have a CRV now but if I had a house where I might get some landscaping done etc.. I might get the Honda since it would basically be like a CRV with a bed. I used to have a single cab short bed Toyota in Hawaii and we beat it to death doing projects and it was always good to go. People don’t really need a huge F150, if I lived in a place with serious snow I might, my dad goes between CO and MT and he has an F250, but then again he actually tows things etc.. from time to time.
